MASALA PURI | STREET STYLE RAGDA RECIPE | INDIAN CHAAT RECIPE


Who doesn't love chaat that too when prepared in home with the  available ingredients 🤩🤩. 

Masala Poori is a Indian Chaat. It is a recipe with a crispy pooris filled with peas masala and garnished with sev, finely chopped onions and grated carrot. It can be prepared easily with ingredients available at home.Check 👇 for the recipe.

Preparation Time - 10 minutes and 1 night for soaking peas | Cooking Time - 15 minutes | Total time - 25 minutes | Course  - Snack | Cuisine  - Indian Chaat | Servings  - 5

Ingredients:

🥘Dry peas - 1 1/2 cup
🥘Potato - 2 medium sized 
🥘Tomato - 1
🥘Onion - 1
🥘Garlic - 3 
🥘Ginger - 1 inch
🥘Green Chilly - 1
🥘Cumin powder - 1tsp
🥘Red chilly powder - 1/2  tbsp
🥘Garam Masala - 1tsp
🥘Refined oil - 2 tbsp
🥘Lemon - 1
🥘Salt - as per requirement

Method:

🥘Soak the dry peas overnight. 

🥘Pressure cook dry peas and peeled potatoes with 4 whistles or until it becomes mushy. 

🥘Take a kadai and add oil, onion, ginger, garlic and green chilly and saute till the onion gets translucent. 

🥘Add tomato and saute till it gets mushy. 

🥘Cool the sauted one and grind it in mixie. 

🥘Now  add the grinded mixture and the mashed dry peas and potatoes to it. 

🥘Then add all the masalas and salt to it. Once the raw smell goes off , squeeze 1/2 or 1lemon juice according to your tanginess. 

🥘Now you can use this masal for masal puri and bhel puri. 

🥘Garnish it with onion, carrots and sev and enjoy😁

Note:

🥘You can add MEETA CHUTNEY chutney if you need sweetness. The recipe is given in my Pani Puri recipe post.
